AXIS, Inc. has achieved SAS 70 Type 2 certification to better serve our clients with secure data and quality products,.  We received an “unqualified opinion” from the independent auditing firm, Averett Warmus Durkee and will provide a Type 2 report for review upon request.

SAS 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  An auditor's examination performed in accordance with SAS 70 ("SAS 70 Audit") represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities, including controls over information technology and related processes.

Of the two types of SAS 70 reports – Type I and Type II – AXIS, Inc. chose the more thorough Type II report that actually tests the efficacy of our controls to assure our clients that they are working correctly and includes the service auditor's opinion on how effective controls operate under a 6 month review.
