Effective November 23, 2008 clients who claim discounted rates for First Class, Standard Class, or Non-Profit Standard mail must prove that they have updated the addresses in their mailing lists within 95 days PRIOR to the mailing date. To meet the Move update requirement, the USPS offers a set of approved methods for updating these addresses. Only one method has to be used but no other unapproved method is permitted.
If out-of-date addresses are identified, the USPS revenue assurance team may audit your mailing. The USPS may require additional postage payment from you.
Some approved methods for Move Update are:
- ACS™/OneCodeACS™- Address Change Service
- Ancillary Service Endorsements
- Return Service Requested
- Temp Return Service Requested
- Address Service Requested
- Change Service Requested
- NCOALINK-National Change of Address
Other options offered through AXIS:
- AXIS Move and Mail
